| My
interest in reptiles started when a teacher brought corn snakes into
class one day. Since then, I've been eager to gain as much knowledge as
possible about reptiles. I was fortunate to gain professional experience
while at the reptile department at the Toledo Zoo. Plus, I successfully completed
several herpetology courses during college. I earned a Bachelors degree in
Biology & a Masters degree in Education. I am currently a Biology teacher & include reptiles whenever discussing conservation, ecosystems, diversity of life, genetics & other related topics. I've worked with a wide variety of reptile species over the years. I now only keep small boas, ball pythons & colubrids. I do not keep any potentially dangerous reptiles, suchas venomous snakes or large constrictor as venomous snakes or large constrictors. I always welcome the opportunity to share my experiences & knowledge with others interested in learning more about reptiles. I try to dispel misconceptions about reptiles & help others understand the importance of protecting these fascinating creatures in the wild. I offer educational programs for people of all ages at various settings. If interested, please feel free to contact me for more information. Sincerely, Jason Carl northeastsnakes@verizon.net |
